ALL Goes to the Star

Our trip to the Arizona Daily Star

Zach Zache and Danielle Borg-James Reporting

On October 7th, we visited the Arizona Daily Star. We met lots of people and learned about what it takes to write and publish a newspaper. Let us go over some history. Did you know that the first newspaper was started around Julius Caesar's time? It's true. One of the first machines that actually printed on paper was a Linotype; an early typesetting device.

Even though the Daily Star and the Tucson Citizen are at the same building, separate companies own them. They never share secrets or big news stories. They are both very competitive. High school students can even work there one day a week.
