Religious Parents Object to Halloween

David S. Dotson

Some parents are objecting to Halloween because they say that it has pagan or satanic origins. Schools have to cancel costume parades, and Halloween celebrations. Schools are replacing Halloween with Fall-o-ween, which notes the changing of the season and harvest.

The parents that participate in Halloween oppose the objections of the religious parents because they have kids who enjoy Halloween and they don’t want the religious parents to take away their kid’s Halloween celebrations at school. The participating parents also say that the religious parents should send their kid to a religious school that celebrates Fall-o-ween, and that objects to the pagan tradition of Halloween.
