"Boycott Gas Stations" Says Mom
Shayla Sandoval

Shayla Sandoval: So, Edith, what do you think about the gasoline prices these days?

Edith Sandoval: They are too high!

Shayla: Why do you think they are too high?

Edith: Because I remember when the gasoline prices were lower than 80 cents per gallon!

Shayla: When did the gas prices go up or when do you last remember when they started going higher?

Edith: Right after the war in Iraq started.

Shayla: What do you think that the government should do about it?

Edith: I’m not sure that the government can do anything about it.  Maybe the general public needs to become involved by boycotting gas stations and using public transportation.  May one city should set a new trend and lower their prices because owners of local gas stations do have the power to do that.

Shayla: Thank you for your time.  That will be all now.

Edith: Thank you.
