Weather Dangers

This is a huge hurricane!

There is a debate about global warming. Studies say that there has been an increase of atmospheric gases. This increases the chance of extreme weather disasters. The carbon dioxide is making a layer so when the sun light goes through, it doesn’t go back out. That is called the greenhouse effect. In theory, the earth could become like Venus. The greenhouse effect has the potential to raise temperatures disastrously.

Emissions from cars, factories and rockets cause global warming. We must stop global warming from getting too bad. If we stop polluting the air so much, we might have a chance of avoiding destruction.

Lately we have been having many hurricanes in the United States. There are three reasons for this: the warm water in the Gulf of Mexico gives the hurricane more fuel to get stronger and go longer. Water from the Gulf of Mexico evaporates and strengthens the hurricane. There must also be certain wind patterns near the surface of the ocean to strengthen and move the hurricane.  Global warming produces even more evaporation, and this makes the hurricanes worse and more frequent.
