Kris Hillmer Reports:
Bake SalesBake sales… Where have they gone? The student council no longer holds bake sales every Tuesday and Friday. The student council is apparently out of food or candy to sell. I am not the only one to notice the missing bake sales. Many people wish the bake sales were back, but to no avail. The bake sales were apparently very popular, but they disappeared quickly, only to reappear briefly and then vanish forever. A batch of brownies was brought but sold almost immediately. The brownies were the last thing the student council sold. Let’s bring the bake sales back. We all loved them!
Old Computer LabWe all should know that we have a new computer lab. But the old lab is falling apart. For example one computer won’t stay turned on and one student computer now has a restrictive password. The headphones in this lab are breaking, so the school should buy more. The lab is also having many problems with its Internet service. The mice on many of the computers are damaged; either the middle button or wheel is missing. The computers themselves are slowing down and responding badly. The sooner all classes are allowed to use the new computer lab, the better.
AIMS and Terra Nova SoonI hope you had a good winter break and I bet you can’t wait for Spring break. But as we all are in school, AIMS and Terra Nova are coming up! All of your teachers have probably talked to you about them. But are you really ready? If you don’t spend time studying, the tests may be very difficult or even impossible. Some people that are caught up and even ahead have no problems, but as far as I can tell most people need to study (including me). So Good luck on your tests.
Study Tips:
If you still have a hard time, try using brief study intervals followed by review.
Bombing Al JazeeraAre we really going to bomb the Al Jazeera news station? Some journalists have suggested that we may do this in an attempt to stop the station from broadcasting what is happening over in Iraq with a slant that favors the terrorists. This plan has not yet been executed, and personally I hope it won’t. If this bombing is carried out, our government will be breaking an international humanitarian law. So I ask our government: please do not bomb Al Jazeera.
The PoolAll of you probably know we have a pool. However, we can’t use it. It seems that the school may have wasted money. The pool was in fact used for about a month, but then it got so cold outside we weren’t allowed to swim. If they want to make the pool useable, they should buy a heater for it. I hope that this happens so we can enjoy swimming again |
