Hydrogen-v-Gasoline

People have been talking about the new generation hydrogen cars. These cars will not need oil changes, emissions testing, or any other type of gasoline car maintenance. These cars are the next future of motor vehicles! The net product of hydrogen is water so you can have a cleaner environment. Although the hydrogen cars have yet to catch on, some major car dealers are already manufacturing this product. One of these dealers is Mercedes Benz. The hydrogen car may replace the current alternative, the battery car. This car runs by a battery charge instead of combustion

Bio-diesel Fuels Boost Ozone Cleanliness

Vegetable oil is a fuel alternative for most diesel trucks.  The new fuel is very close to diesel fuel. Therefore you can use it in your diesel trucks.  Not only trucks have diesel engines.  The Volkswagen Jetta has a four-cylinder engine that runs on diesel fuel.  The Jetta is an example of a fuel efficient vehicle.  Diesel fuel can be a few cents more in cost than gasoline but gets a lot more mileage in the long run.  Many people are noticing the new alternative and are starting to take advantage.  More fuel alternatives have been created, such as propane trucks and generators.  There are also natural gas city buses.  New alternatives could satisfy the constant demand for gasoline and create a much cleaner, safer environment.  Only time will tell.

Elephant Extinction

Some people have seen on the local news that elephants have been going extinct.  People used to use elephants as a transportation device, but people are hunting elephants chiefly for their ivory tusks.  As most of you know, ivory is the basic element of piano keys.   Therefore, people hunt elephants for their tusks and make a substantial profit.  People should boycott ivory piano keys.  Ivory hunters are called poachers.  Even though poachers can make a lot of money, the fine for hunting elephants is much greater then the value of a single pair of tusks.

Elephants are really intelligent creatures.  In the early ice ages woolly mammoths roamed the earth.  In recent excavations, archeologists have found mammoths in a sitting position and concluded that the mammoths were waiting for something.  It is believed that the woollies were waiting for a fallen member of the mammoth tribe, either injured or stuck in a hole in the ice.  People continue to hunt elephants or their tusks, and the result can be devastating, for now too few elephant babies are being born.

Work contest winners

The final process is taking place in which the prizes are issued.  The winners are David (Storm) Dotson, and Devenye Friedenberg.  Congratulate these two hard workers and make sure you bring in some donated prizes; otherwise we have to issue bake sale dollars.  With the help of the student council this contest was possible.

Lung Cancer

Ever since man has been around, people have had diseases or abnormalities.  When people abuse tobacco for example, they are more likely to contract lung cancer or emphysema than a non-smoker.  When you smoke marijuana, you are also at risk.  Even more dangerous drugs such as heroin and cocaine affect our delicate lives.  When you do these drugs you are only hurting yourself. You are not being cool; you are getting a disease.  So listen to this warning and take care of your body.
